Facilities Manager
Job description
As a Quality and Facilities Manager you’ll report to the Engineering Infrastructure Asset Manager and you’ll provide Facilities Management excellence at the regional Depot and its designated outstations.
Day to day you would be responsible for planning, implementing and the development of maintenance systems to ensure that all plant equipment within your region is maintained to the required standards and remains fully operational to support our production teams.
Duties will include establishing effective Landlord/Tenant links to ensure the continuous improvement of engineering infrastructure, facilities, and equipment. You’ll develop, implement and maintain the Depot and designated outstations Quality Systems to ISO 9001:2008. You’ll also provide Safety and Environmental loss control services for the regions sites and monitor effective Safety and Environmental Management Systems to comply with ISO14001 and ISO18001.
The role will also involve the planning and implementation of systematic audits of the Safety and Environmental Management Systems to ensure compliance with safe operating procedures and to identify continuous improvement of systems and processes. You will prepare, implement, and maintain safety audit systems to support all production and operational activities at the Depot and its designated outstations.
About you:
We expect you to have experience of electrical and mechanical engineering with an emphasis on plant equipment, facilities management, building maintenance, safety and compliance and depot management systems. It is also great if you have a HNC/HND in Engineering and a minimum of L5 Leadership and Management qualification, but it is not essential.
We are looking for someone with experience of senior leadership and management roles with a proven background in leading teams, driving continuous improvement, and delivering positive change. What’s really important is an ability to demonstrate great communication skills and experience of occupational health and safety with a working knowledge of legislation. You’ll be expected to hold (or be prepared to work towards) a NEBOSH qualification.
