Broad Function
To lead planning, testing and release of raw materials. To support general duties and project work within the CMC laboratory.
Principle Responsibilities
To perform routine duties in the laboratory in order to ensure the timely generation of accurate data and information.
To ensure all activities follow standard operating procedures and/or protocols and, where appropriate, are performed in compliance with GxP.
To assist in the compilation of data and information for the preparation of reports generated by the laboratory.
To maintain all relevant documentation accurately, correctly and up to date.
To actively participate in the general housekeeping of the relevant laboratory as required.
To initiate and write new standard operating procedures and other documents/reports/protocols as and when required.
To perform project work for the development and validation of equipment, test procedures, processes and systems as directed.
To follow health and safety guidelines as issued by the company.
Ensuring that all interactions and engagements are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with Company values.
Carry out other reasonable tasks as required by the line manager.

Principal Relationships
Internal: Liaise with internal personnel at all levels of the business as required.
External: Liaise with external 3rd parties as required.
Education and Experience
Minimum requirement of 1 A-level in science subject and GCSE standard or equivalent with good pass grades in English, Mathematics and Science.
Relevant higher education qualification e.g. degree, higher national certificate/diploma (desirable but not essential).
Computer literate.
Experience in a similar laboratory environment (desirable but not essential).
Skills and Attributes
Competent and organised with ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently
Track, manage and minute project milestones and communicate to the project team
Ability to work closely with others, display good team spirit and demonstrate initiative when required.
A flexible and willing attitude with the desire to continually improve and develop
Strong listening skills with the ability to follow instructions and guidance.
Methodical, organised with an aptitude for detail.
Able to take responsibility when required
