About the role and our team
We are looking for a Senior Social Care Worker to join our hardworking team at Southlands where you’ll be responsible for supervising, supporting and working as part of a team in a busy care home environment.
You’ll work alongside Social Care Workers to provide life-enhancing care to vulnerable older people and attend to all aspects of their care needs. This will include; medication administration, all personal hygiene needs, care planning, escorting residents to appointments/shopping, enabling the resident to take part in social events/activities and maintaining strong links with the resident’s family and friends.
As a Senior Social Care Worker you’ll also supervise and mentor your colleagues and help them to develop within their roles. This will include inductions for new members of staff, as well as working alongside your manager doing regular auditing.
At Southlands we have four twelve bedded units and each unit has a small team of Senior Social Care Workers, Social Care Workers, Housekeepers and Laundry Assistants.
