Job description
The shift pattern for this position is Monday- Friday 8.30-4.30.We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic Pharmacy technician to join our community Rehabilitation Service. The aim of our service is to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and maintain our predominantly elderly patient group in their own homes.
You will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, working to promote the safe and effective use of medication by patients receiving intervention or treatment from the South Sector Rehab Service. Your caseload will be delegated tasks from the team Pharmacist or nominated Deputy/ or other designated team members as service need indicates. You should have the ability to work on your own and as part of a wider team.
You will work independently in a range of community settings, providing pharmaceutical care following agreed protocols. You will contribute to the clinical governance, risk management and continuing professional development agendas across the service.
You should be able to demonstrate your motivation for working with patients in their own homes and the value of the Pharmacy technician role within the wider multidisciplinary team.
As a Qualified Pharmacy Technician, you will be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council, you will have National Certificate in Pharmaceutical Services/ Pharmacy service or equivalent knowledge, SVQ Pharmacy Services Level 3 or demonstrate equivalent level of competency to this.
