Job description

Reporting to the Visitor Services Managers, our Assistant Visitor Services Managers lead and manage service standards across all Visitor Services areas, ensuring sales are maximised and that the customer experience is always of the highest standard by providing a welcoming, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly service. They create a safe working environment by ensuring we comply with all health & safety procedures and standards including licensing laws and food & drink safety legislation.

Our Assistant Visitor Services Managers each take responsibility for one of four key operational areas: Bars, Retail, Front of House, and Volunteer Management. Our specialisms allow each Assistant Visitor Services Manager to grow and develop within their roles and to be responsible for a key area of our business including establishing procedures and overseeing, developing and delivering key programmes of work which enrich our team. This role specialises in the area of Bars.

Reporting to the ‘Duty Manager’, the Assistant Visitor Services Manager (Bars) also works as part of the ‘Duty’ Visitor Services Management Team to provide leadership, guidance and support to our Lead Visitor Service Assistants, Visitor Service Assistants and Volunteers. They provide ‘Duty’ Supervisory cover ‘on the floor’ as and when required, in line with business needs, and form part of our Response Team for incidents.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about giving great customer service and is always willing to go one step beyond to create an exceptionally high standard of customer satisfaction, with the ability to motivate a large team of staff. As a popular entertainment venue, work is fast-paced, so you’ll be a proactive manager who enjoys a variety of tasks whilst working as part of a busy bar operation in a high footfall venue.

If successful you’ll be offered an annualised hours contract which will include weekend, Bank Holiday and late night working. This role would involve working at the premises most days.

Recognising under-representation in our workforce of Black, Asian and ethnically diverse people, and those with disabilities, we particularly welcome applicants from those backgrounds, identities and experience.
