About the role
Arco’s National Distribution Centre (NDC) in Hull dispatches three hundred pallets and 8,000 parcels a day to 25,000 customers in the UK and Ireland. We recently completed an extension to this which supports Arco’s sustainability vision being lit by natural daylight with daylight harvesting LED lights which are activated only when needed. This increased storage and distribution capacity enabled Arco to respond rapidly to the unprecedented demand for PPE during the Covid-19 pandemic, with the business supporting the NHS, frontline responders, and critical industries.
As our Site Administrator you will support the NDC in all aspects of administration, from dealing with telephone queries, filing and photocopying to managing and monitoring databases. Contributing to making Arco an efficient and effective great place to work
Key responsibilities include:
Health and safety of self and others in the workplace, ensuring any breaches are reported and remedial action is taken.
Validating and maintaining invoices within a 24 hour period
General administrative tasks, for example placing stationary orders, distribution of post, petty cash
Producing a variety of reports using Microsoft office applicants for the management team as required.
Arranging meetings, room bookings for the management team and site visitors
Developing relationships with key stakeholders to ensure good two-way communications
Building relationships to gain trust and improve overall perception of the site
Managing and monitoring variety of NDC databases to ensure that information is kept up-to-date and escalated to the appropriate manager as necessary.
Responsible for monitoring and ordering packaging and other consumables used to prepare orders for delivery
Managing and coordinating all MHE defects and regular maintenance to ensure equipment is fit for purpose.
Acting as first point contact for Wellbeing and proposed Charity events on site.
Managing and maintaining colleague locker database to ensure all colleagues have a secure location to leave belongings.
Acting as telephone receptionist for incoming general calls ensuring that the caller is directed to the right colleague
About you
The ideal Site Administrator will be/have:
Experience of working in an FMCG environment.
Experience of working in a position of trust and the ability to maintain confidentiality
Intermediate level Microsoft office programs
Ability to communicate with all levels colleagues and contractors, both written and verbal
Experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
Demonstrate attention to detail in written and numerical reports
Experience of taking notes at meetings
