How would joining a team that are developing and manufacturing the next generation of Biocrucible products sound?
This is an exciting time to join us as we develop proprietary molecular detection technologies deploying ultra-rapid isothermal nucleic acid amplification that enables near-patient and at-home testing for infectious disease or genetic indications.
You’ll sit within a small focused team in our labs at Chesterford Research Park, a 10000sq/ft mixed laboratory and office space set in beautiful parkland. In addition to the restaurant and gym facilities, you’ll find there are plenty of highly experienced people nearby to learn from.
Position Summary
You’ll be responsible for routine manufacturing and ongoing laboratory work to develop and optimise in vitro diagnostic assays using isothermal amplification.
Responsibilities
- Preparing buffers and solutions
- Protein expression and protein purification
- Preparing lyophilisation formulations, manufacturing lyophilised beads
- Performing Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA)
- Manufacturing lateral flow strips
- Supporting the development of routine production
Preferred experience and skills
- Laboratory skills, ideally acquired within a molecular biology setting
- experience working within a regulated production environment under a quality management system
Preferred Qualifications
- Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry
